Rajon Rondo’s monster performance in Game 2 against the Heat last Wednesday night was basically for nothing because Miami beat Boston in overtime. But Rondo’s performance won’t soon be forgotten. Call it the Rondo game: all 53 minutes played, 44 points on 16 of 24 shooting, 10 assists and eight rebounds. This isn't the greatest playoff performance ever seen but for a player who usually dishes the ball out more than shooting it is. People, sports analyst and fans frequently criticize his poor jump shooting but that night he was red hot from everywhere except where he usually dominates and that's inside the lane.. And to not only to add on to a monster scoring performance he had a great passing display as well dishing out his usual 10 assist also adding 8 rebounds. Even though in that game he played his heart out his team was still unable to hold on to the lead. Many people say that since the Boston Celtics is losing their dominate force in the "Big 3" Rondo has too not only maintain his current all star stats but increase his scoring to become a true superstar in the league. One reason Rondo can be a threat is it's almost impossible to guard him due to the fact that he can hurt you in so many different ways. Either its dishing out a beautifully placed pass or faking you out and quickly getting to the lane or just a simple pull up for a 15 ft. jumper.
